McDonald’s is looking to increase its number of franchised outlets in China, the company has announced.

The fast food giant, which first entered the China market 20 years ago, currently has 36 franchised stores in the country. Kenneth Chan, McDonald’s China CEO, said: “Right now, it’s a low percentage, but I think that over a very short time, you can get to quite a good mix of stores being franchised.”
