The couple arrived in style at the McDonald’s restaurant at Cribb’s Causeway in Bristol, in a white stretch limousine where their guests welcomed them along with staff that had roped an area off for the happy couple. McDonald’s bosses treated the couple to a complimentary bottle of champagne.

Steven Asher, 28, and Emily Marshall, 21, made the decision to hold their reception at the restaurant after enjoying a number of romantic dates there. They tied the knot at Bristol registry office before making the journey to the golden arches to celebrate with their family and friends.

Mrs Marshall told The Daily Mail: “It was an amazing day. I did get quite a few people staring at me in McDonald's, but I didn't care - it was my big day and I was there to enjoy myself”

Mr Asher enjoyed a Chicken Legend meal with a strawberry milkshake while Mrs Marshall opted for a chicken nuggets meal with a Coke for her first meal as a married woman.
