The latest Revive! franchise owner decided to join the business as he wanted to run his own automotive repair business but didn’t want to do it on his own.
Ashley Kelly, who now owns the Revive! Bristol franchise, didn’t want the financial risk of starting up his own business, but still wanted to own his own business repairing minor bodywork damage to vehicles. Kelly first began working in the automotive industry when he joined an apprenticeship scheme after leaving school. During his apprenticeship he worked for a car dealership and when he finished his course he continued working in its body shop.
After eight years, Kelly decided he wanted to be his own boss and started looking at franchises. He said: “I thought starting up my own body shop would be too risky as the overheads are so high, then I came across Revive! It’s a mobile business and I have everything I need in my van. I travel to customers’ homes or places of work and can repair minor scrapes, bumper scuffs or refurbish alloy wheels there and then.
“The technical and equipment we use at Revive! guarantee an excellent result and the prices are very competitive. Most of the time the cost is less than the insurance policy excess so it doesn’t affect customers’ no claims bonus.”
Kelly’s territory covers the whole of Bristol and surrounding areas. In the future he hopes to expand his operation by taking on additional vans and employing staff.
