Franchise Owners soar to new heights

With a background in running a nursing agency in London and a care home in Kent, Bobby Pawar was aware of the opportunity the care sector offered.

Realising the benefits of buying a franchise from a successful company in the sector, Bobby and his wife Priyanka investigated Bluebird Care.

“Following our initial meeting with the Bluebird Care team, we wanted to be part of such a successful brand and launched our first franchise in Maidstone at the end of 2010,” explains Bobby.

Priyanka adds: “The business worked well from the start – further evidence that the Bluebird Care business model does what it says it will do. We were so pleased with the success that we invested in a second franchise in Dartford in early 2011, and have recently opened our third office in Tunbridge Wells.”

“We loved the business model and the support that the company provides.”

Since opening Scotland’s first Bluebird Care office in January 2008, John and Jane Perry’s business has gone from strength to strength.

They have won a string of Scottish Care awards for the quality of care they provide, and also a number of Bluebird Care awards, including Franchise of the Year 2011.

“We did a lot of research,” says Jane. “It was obvious from the ageing population figures that there was a market opportunity in care.

“We looked at several care franchise companies but were really impressed when we met Bluebird Care and the decision to join the network just seemed right to us. We loved the business model and the support the company provides.”

“I am enjoying my success!”

Joanna Lee had a varied career which began in hospital and community nursing. Business skills and qualifications followed before she took on commercial management roles in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry.

Now, five years into her Bluebird Care business, she says it is, without doubt, the best career move she has made.

“I always have had an ambition to run my own business and the franchise route was very appealing,” beams Joanna. “I could see the huge potential of the care sector and the advantages Bluebird Care offered. As someone who joined the network early on, I have seen the network grow and the support to my business grow with it. I am enjoying my success!”

“It’s a brand I really wanted to be part of.”

After studying Business Management at the University of Reading, Tim Rowland-Jones joined the family business, Rowland’s Clothing.

“Eventually, the time had come for me to leave the business, and I had also seen the need for care as a result of seeing my grandfather’s care requirements,” explains Tim.

“I was naturally keen to make the right choice. However, from my initial meeting with the staff I met at Bluebird Care head office, I was convinced that they were the right company for me. Their passion for what they do and how they do it was obvious. Bluebird Care is very good at what they do, which was proved to me by their growing reputation throughout the UK and Ireland.”
