\"The British Franchise Association is pleased to welcome Bluebird Care into Full Membership. Our
quality standards for reaching this level are set high, deliberately, and to reach this demanding level a franchisor has to demonstrate to us
they are worthy of this level
of membership.\"

The success continues for the UK's foremost care at home franchisor, Bluebird Care, with a string of recent awards across the network.

"It is great to see the quality of our franchise and care provision being recognised on a national basis," says Franchise Director Simon Dalziel. "Right from the start we have aimed for the highest standards of care provision and franchising".

Franchise quality was recognised by being nominated as a finalist in the British Franchise Association/HSBC Franchisor of the Year, after only four years of operation as a franchise. "We were delighted to be nominated as a finalist alongside some household franchise names - we were, in fact, the youngest company to be named as one of the top eight franchises in the UK," explains Simon.

For youngest though, do not read inexperienced. Bluebird Care boasts the most experience of any other franchise in the care sector with a collective 40 plus years in care provision and franchising. This experience is a key part of what franchise owners are buying into.

"When franchise owners join Bluebird Care they are coming into a company which knows care and franchising inside out," says Managing Director Paul Tarsey. "People ask us for the reasons for the considerable success we have. Our success comes down to two main reasons - firstly we have a well-proven business format that is currently in operation throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland through 85 offices and secondly, the considerable experience we offer our franchise owners - you cannot replace experience."

The ultimate accolade is the success Bluebird Care franchise owners have and this is where Bluebird Care has received further national awards.

Bluebird Care (Edinburgh) won a second consecutive award at the recent Scottish Care at Home Awards with Gail Syratt being named Care Manager of the Year. Franchise owners Jane and John Perry were delighted for Gail, who faced stiff competition to be named at the top - there are 777 Care Managers in Scotland.

Jane says: "We were really pleased for Gail to be recognised in this way. She works extremely hard to maintain the top quality Bluebird Care standards that have brought us so much success in Edinburgh."Further proof of the high Bluebird Care standards was the award presented to Jackie Ranscombe, who works for Bluebird Care (Reading & Wokingham). Jackie was awarded National Dementia Carer of the Year at the recent National Care awards.

Franchise owners Tushar Shah and Mehul Shah were delighted for Jackie: "We have always prided ourselves on the high quality of care we provide and to win a national award for care standards is testimony to this. Quality is at the heart of everything we do."

Bluebird Care has achieved tremendous results since the franchise launch in June 2006 and has attracted franchise owners from a variety of backgrounds.

"We do not sell franchises - we recruit franchise owners," says Simon. "It is important franchise owners have an empathy with the importance of providing high quality care and a desire and passion to be successful but their background does not matter.

"Franchise recruitment is a two way process for Bluebird Care - we must be right for franchise owners and they must be right for us."
