This is your opportunity to get into this exciting, vibrant business by starting with the mini store, enabling you to generate profitable business activity and now have the chance to expand with further mini or full
size CeX stores.
The CeX factor

  • Over 200 stores worldwide in the UK, Ireland, the US, India and Spain

  • Return on investment
    within two years

  • Buy Back Guarantee
    (subject to conditions)

  • More affordable than ever before!

With 20 years’ experience, CeX has built a trusted brand that buys, sells and exchanges a focused yet complimentary range of second-hand electronic and entertainment products, which include DVDs, video games, mobile phones and much more.

Responding to the huge demand for more versatile stores, CeX has developed an innovative mini store concept that is perfectly suited to smaller cities and towns and that requires a lower investment level to join the CeX franchise. Prospective franchise owners now need just £40,000 liquid capital, plus the ability to raise the balance. Total investment is from £150,000, most of which will go towards stock and shop-fitting.

Smaller in size than a typical CeX store, the mini stores have lower overheads, yet the return on investment is, pro rata, the same as a larger CeX store. A 600 square foot mini CeX store will typically have projected first year sales in excess of £600,000.

Since launching its franchise opportunity in 1992, CeX has expanded its network from the UK to the USA, Spain, India and Ireland and is eager to continue its impressive network growth into all small cities and towns throughout the country via its mini store concept.

Franchise Manager, Frank Orchard says: “Due to a growing demand we have launched the smaller store format to enable us to bring our full offering to smaller towns across the UK. Our goal is to have local franchise owners to contribute to their local communities.

“We are looking for owner-managed franchise outlets that would suit retail units sized between 600 and 900 square foot and would provide employment for four to five people.”

He adds: “What makes CeX unique is that we are a consumer demand-driven business. We don’t push products into the market or tell the consumers what we think they need. Our customers are our suppliers are well as consumers. Every product that we stock is recycled, so we are not dictated to by external forces that could affect the sustainability of the business.”

CeX also offer larger store franchises with total investment levels around £250,000, which typically turn over more than £1 million a year and provide a return on investment in under two years.
