0800 Handyman open for business in Wakefield

"I knew there were plenty of specialist contractors dealing with the bigger jobs and many odd-job men in my local area, but there was clearly an opportunity for someone to provide a professional quality service for handling the small DIY tasks and odd jobs that people don't have the time, inclination or expertise to carry out themselves," said Julian.
"The launch marketing campaign has got the business off to a great start. The volume of enquiries is building well and I am confident of the business's success. My van has made a big impact - you certainly couldn't miss me when I'm driving about in it and I've already had people approaching me directly when they've seen me in it.
"Each day presents a new challenge and it's great being out and about meeting people in my community. People call me because they have a specific task that they need help with, so I get great job satisfaction with each job, knowing that when I leave a client's property I've resolved a problem for them." 0800 Handyman aims to launch 15 franchises outside the Greater London area in 2010, and is looking for enthusiastic prospective franchise owners with good DIY skills to join its network.
