Ableworld, a mobility and homecare retailer, has become one of the latest companies to gain recognition from the British Franchise Association (bfa).

Franchise Director of Ableworld, Paul Boniface, expressed his company’s delight at the latest development in their franchise operation, he said: “From the outset we wanted to set up the franchise operation along the same ethical lines as our original business and so we are very pleased that Ableworld has been accepted as a member of the British Franchise Association.”

The bfa is the only voluntary self-regulating body for franchising in the UK. Its remit is to develop and continuously improve standards of good practice in franchising and to accredit franchisors who meet these standards.

Boniface added: “We are very confident that prospective franchise owners who take up an Ableworld franchise will see their investment flourish and grow as, together, we capitalise on the unstoppable demographic, economic and political forces driving the Mobility Industry forward.

“We are continuing our search to award a limited number of franchises in the next 12 months and in November we held our first Discovery Day at the company’s headquarters in Nantwich, Cheshire. We feel that it is vitally important for our prospective franchise owners to see our head office operation and to visit some of our established and newer stores so that they can visualise what their own store might look like.”
