Soars to new heights

More than 100 Bluebird Care franchise owners attended the company’s annual conference at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel in Warwickshire.

Those attending the conference were being updated about the year’s successes, plans for the future and had the chance to meet other Bluebird Care teams from the network, which has grown substantially since last year’s conference.

The event tee’d off with a well-attended golf tournament that featured teams representing Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland.

The following day’s conference took the theme of ‘Facing the Challenge’ – reflecting the fast moving care sector and the changes which the industry is expecting.

Speakers included Colin Angel, Director of Policy and Communication at UK Homecare Association, who highlighted the challenges and future plans for the UK care at home market. Caroline Dinenage, MP for Gosport, also spoke about the Government’s support for small businesses and franchise organisations.

At a glittering gala dinner held that evening, Bluebird Care announced its awards for franchise owners, including the coveted Bluebird Care Franchise of the Year, which was won by Jane and John Perry of Bluebird Care Edinburgh. The latest accolade reflects the couple’s phenomenal success since opening in August 2008 and is the latest addition to their portfolio of awards that includes Bluebird Care Best Newcomer 2008 and Scottish Care At Home Best Company Newcomer Award 2009.

Simon Dalziel, Franchise Director at Bluebird Care, said: “We have been delighted by the feedback from our franchise owners following this fantastic event. Our conference really gives us an opportunity to recognise the hard work and success of our network and highlight the initiatives and strategy that will drive our business forward in 2012.”

We still have opportunities across the UK. Why not join Bluebird Care and be part of our winning team?
