The franchise owner of Caremark (Winchester & Eastleigh), Calum Grey, was presented with the company’s Mark of Excellence Award at the Caremark Annual Conference.

The Mark of Excellence Award was one of three top awards among a total of 10, presented in recognition of the franchise owner who has demonstrated a consistent and committed approach to excellence within all aspects of their business over the last year, evidence within their most recent inspection report.

Gray said: “To receive the Mark of Excellence Award was both a thrill and a surprise. There is no doubt whatsoever that the award is recognition for a huge team effort over the past 12 months during which Caremark (Winchester & Eastleigh) welcomed Mandy Wills as Care Manager, Dan Langridge as Care Coordinator, and Iona Stevens as Field Care Supervisor. Their performance, along with that of our superb Care and Support Workers, led not only to this award but also to an excellent Care Quality Commission inspection report of which we are all very proud. Through 2012 we aim to build on our growing reputation for providing the highest quality of care.”

Sean Cragg, International Development Director at Caremark, added: “Calum started the year facing many challenges but through recruiting a new and dynamic team he has made huge strides in his business, culminating in an excellent CQC report.”
