ChipsAway and Ovenclean, both part of Franchise Brands Worldwide, have invested in further support for franchise owners with the appointment of Mark Holland as the new Franchise Operations Director and Steve Tarbard as Franchise Support Manager.

As Franchise Operations Director, Holland (pictured right), who has a background in sales and marketing, working in consumer goods as well as in franchise-based operations, will use his wealth of experience to ensure that ChipsAway and Ovenclean franchise owners are on track with their business growth programme.

Tarbard (pictured top), who has 10 years of experience as a Franchise Support Manager, will provide additional support to the network, particularly for those looking to expand. The key role of his job as Franchise Support Manager is to be out on the road everyday meeting the franchise owners.

Tarbard said: “The most important thing is to find the best route forward for individual franchise owners as they all have different goals and are at various stages in their businesses. I will adapt my skills and knowledge to develop a tailored plan which will provide the appropriate guidance, advice and support needed by each franchise owner.”

Holland added: “As Franchise Operations Director I oversee the support function. I have a team of about 10 people who help franchise owners in different elements of their business and in achieving their overall plan.”

ChipsAway and Ovenclean hold regular informal open days at its Midlands-based head office. Potential franchise owners have the opportunity to meet the management team, experience demonstrations of an oven clean or try out the unique ChipsAway repair system and chat with existing members of the network, who are on hand to answer any questions.

Lloyd Evans, Chief Executive of ChipsAway and Ovenclean, said: “I believe we have the best support structure in the franchise industry. We have over 30 employees at head office who are on hand to offer help and advice on everything from carrying out repairs/oven cleans to marketing activity, as well as over 20 business mentors helping new recruits during their first months of trading.”
