Kitchen door replacement franchise Dream Doors has opened a new 'flagship' showroom in Waterlooville. The store is owned by Dream Doors Founder and Managing Director Troy Tappenden and is the largest of the network, which now numbers 31 showrooms nationwide.

"I use my own showrooms as test beds for new products and ideas before rolling them out to the network," said Troy. "The new Waterlooville showroom demonstrates this as it is a departure from the traditional locations of the network showrooms as it is the first to be sited in a high street pedestrian precinct.

"I am very excited about the opportunity that this new location has to offer and will provide crucial information for the future development within the Dream Doors brand. A lot of research went into choosing the location - local population demographics, the mix of surrounding shops, media coverage in the catchment, transport network, ease of parking and local knowledge. Its performance will be fed back to the network through monthly bulletins and the Dream Doors Regional Support Managers who work very closely with the franchise owners on a daily basis."

The store was opened in May with free food and champagne for customers served in from the centrepiece of the showroom - an enormous kitchen island unit. The Mayor of Havant, Councillor Jackie Branson, cut the ribbon to hail the opening of the showroom.

"I think it's fantastic that Dream Doors has got confidence in the borough of Havant and Waterlooville," said Cllr Branson. "The area needs new businesses to open in this recession, and it's wonderful that Dream Doors has launched at this time."
