It was a special moment for Lavrenova because he had life changing accident when he was 17 years old. He broke his cervical spine in two places and was lucky to be alive.

He then had to stop all his sports activities, seven years of karate, and any future plans of sports career. Only now, over 10 years later he felt he wanted to start sports again. He loves running and has joined his local running club. One challenge he took to prove to himself that he can do it was to run the London Marathon.

It was an honour for him to run on behalf of MACS charity as this is such a good cause to raise money for. Having a daughter himself he can only imagine what parents go through when their child is not well. He pledged to raise £1250 and he is nearly reached his target. He has now applied for a place in London Marathon 2015 and hopes to get a ballot place.

Lavrenova says: ”I have to add that I only started to run because he now have more time to do this by working flexible hours! Running our Dublcheck business has given us time to do thing I enjoy.”
