FLAsia’s one-day conference and half-day workshop presents opportunities to meet world-class speakers, franchise and development experts as well as network with the like-minded.

The conference will feature speakers and round table facilitators from top-notch international agencies and companies such as Matthew Heller from Google, Raphael Chan from Subway Singapore Development and Dr. Mark Abell from Bird & Bird, London.

Google’s Heller will deliver the keynote address where he will speak about how business owners in Asia Pacific are using technology to connect with new customers and grow their businesses. Matthew leads one of Google’s fastest growing sales organisations worldwide as Southeast Asia’s Head of Channel Sales.

Dr. Mark Abell, global head of Bird & Bird’s Franchising, Licensing and Multi-Channel Strategies team, will also be speaking at an hour-long session, sharing three key principles to follow so as to avoid pitfalls and traps while franchising in Asia.

Attendees will be joined by facilitators for the round table sessions in the afternoon from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. The six facilitators of the roundtable sessions are Robert Leong, Director of Kinderland Educare Services Pte Ltd; William Tan, Hotelier and Restaurateur; Raphael Chan, Country Director of Subway Singapore Development Pte Ltd; Bobby Ong, Managing Director of AutoSaver Pte Ltd; Catherine Chai, Principal Consultant of Broc Consulting Pte Ltd and Samuel Seow, Managing Director of Samuel Seow Law Corporation.

The concluding half day interactive workshop on 31 October will be conducted by Allan Yeng, Managing Director of Connectabrand Pte Ltd, where he will be giving an overview of the basics and arrangements of licensing as well as intellectual property and licensing laws.
