Lloyds TSB boosts its support for the UK franchise industry

Lloyds TSB has stepped up the support it offers UK franchises by launching a new team of Franchise Development Managers across the country.

The 13-strong team (pictured), which will work across England, Scotland and Wales, will help forge ties with franchisors and provide banking and financial support to franchisees.

Richard Holden, Head of Franchising at Lloyds TSB, says: 'Franchising is a real success story in the UK, but both franchisees and franchisors need support from bank managers who understand this sector. We're extremely proud of the service we provide to these firms and we're absolutely committed to helping them develop and succeed. Our new team of experienced business managers will help us meet the needs of franchisees and franchisors, better than ever before.

The Franchise Development Managers have participated in a comprehensive training programme which has be supported by, among others, British Franchise Association Director General Brian Smart. Nigel Toplis, Chairman of the British Franchise Association, speaking at a reception hosted by the bank acknowledged Lloyds TSB's commitment to the franchise sector and praised the launch of the new team. In addition to the new managers, Lloyds TSB's dedicated Franchise Unit has also boosted the telephone support available to customers in order to provide additional help and advice to both franchisees and franchisors.
