New Chesterfield recruit, Mark Willgoose, recently joined the expanding tool specialists after taking the decision to change his career as a Sales Manager, when he became a father. He said: “The Mac Tools package is a great opportunity to earn a good living. My favourite moment so far was my first day out by myself, making sure that everything I had learned came into practice.”

But Mark’s circumstances could not have been more different to new Stroud franchise owner, Chris Wood, who had worked as a Field Service Technician for years before making his investment in an industry he was familiar with. Chris said: “I have always wanted my own business, so I can be responsible for my own destiny and success. As a mechanic, I always used the Mac Tools brand, so I believe in the product I’m selling 100 per cent.”

Chris and Mark were trained, at the head office in Sheffield, alongside third new franchise owner – Andy Flynn. Andy spent 22 years in the Armed Forces before looking to Mac Tools to provide him with a new career adventure. He said: “I had just finished a 22-year career and I was looking for a challenging career for another 22 years. I went to the National Franchise Exhibition in Birmingham last October and came across the Mac Tools franchise. I had worked with their tools in workshops before, but I wasn’t aware of their franchise opportunity. But it immediately appealed to me. It really fitted my profile and I knew the products were great. It was like starting a new era when I picked up my van last week. I am out on the road at the start of something new and exciting.”

The exciting announcement of these three new franchise owners is a direct reflection of Mac Tools continued success - the business has recently achieved 25 per cent year-on-year growth in the tool provision market and is looking to recruit more franchise owners to further its popular brand.
