Franchising highlighted

Moreland Insurance Director Maurice Logie, who also serves as President of the Lanarkshire Chamber of Commerce, recently spoke about franchising to a conference held in East Kilbride near Glasgow.

Moreland Insurance is an Affiliate Member of the British Franchise Association and supplies specialised products to the franchise industry. 'There are opportunities for all of us in the franchising community to be as visible as we can,' says Maurice, 'and in particular to communicate to others that here is a sector where growth and profitability are still to be found in good measure.'

The audience included keynote speaker Tony Strachan from the Bank of England and event chairman Charles McGhee (until recently Editor of The Glasgow Herald newspaper), as well as around 170 attendees including local councillors and other business leaders.
