After taking its unique model of computer-based, experiential learning to the forefront of education and skills discussions at the Indian Education Congress, in Delhi earlier this year, Pitman Training Group has signed a Master Franchise Agreement with Franchise India, that will see the brand roll out a significant number of new centers within 2015 and beyond.

Recognised as a UK business Superbrand for the third consecutive year for Executive Education, Training and Development, Pitman Training has been teaching shorthand in India since the turn of the 20th Century, and is returning now to introduce the modern ‘equivalents’ in office training into the workplace, through learning initiatives unique to the great British brand.

Roy Newey, Non-Executive Director at Pitman Training Group, addressed the Indian Education Congress on ‘Skill Development, the need of the Hour for India’, where he stressed the Pitman Training philosophy: “Skill development must lead to more than a job, it must lead to a career. Therefore skills development must continue once employment commences. The up-skilling of India is also about delivering freedom of choice and economic independence for a lifetime to all communities in India.”

With more than 160 years as a British heritage brand, Pitman Training Group is now working with Franchise India, to bring their respective skills and experience together, as part of the brand’s dynamic global expansion. Franchise India, headed by Chairman Gaurav Marya – (serial entrepreneur and hailed as the father of Indian franchising) is Asia’s largest integrated franchise solution company, engaging with more than five million individual entrepreneurs, and 2.5 million businesses.
