Slimming franchise Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs has appointed two new Directors. The company, which provides dietary advice and exercise to clients to help them lose weight, has announced that Angie Higgins and Chris Ash have been appointed as Directors.

Angie Higgins joined Rosemary Conley and Mike Rimmington, the company's founders, as their accounts clerk in 1989. Since Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs was formed in 1993, Angie has worked in most of the departments and has been General Manager for the past four years.

Rosemary Conley says: 'Angie has bought great organisational skills to our organisation and has experienced the meteoric growth of the company and she has grown with it. She is highly respected by all of our 180 franchisees and the 45 staff now employed at the company headquarters at Quorn House near Loughborough. We are thrilled to reward Angie's hard work and loyalty to us and the company with a Directorship.'

Chris Ash joined Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs in 2005 after an extensive career in retailing and fitness clubs. Rosemary adds: 'Chris brought with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of marketing and retailing and he has driven our business forward to new heights. His contribution has been extensive and we have seen tremendous results as a result. We are delighted to appoint Chris as our Group Marketing Director.'

Mike Rimmington says: 'We are a strong team with great plans for the future, including the creation of a web TV channel and the launch of Quorn House Media Ltd scheduled for later in the year.'
