At 17 years of age, Christopher Friend has become the youngest ServiceMaster Clean franchise owner.

Friend is the third generation in his family to be a franchise owner, and as well as being the youngest in the ServiceMaster Clean franchise network, is also the youngest individual to be awarded British Damage Management Association (BDMA) technician status.

As the franchise owner of ServiceMaster Clean for the central Scotland area, Friend provides a disaster restoration service to residents and commercial property owners in East Kilbride, Clydesdale and East Lothian.

Friend gained his experience at his parent's ServiceMaster Clean business where he worked for 18 months and achieved the BDMA status. His father, Sid Friend, said: "As Christopher had begun to work for us and progressed with different courses on training and also in-house training, he then passed his BDMA Technician qualification. It seemed the obvious choice for him to become a franchise owner."
