Thebestof awards 100th franchise

Less than four months after launch, has awarded its 100th franchise. The product is getting 50 enquiries a week and has a conversion rate of one in five. The company has seen its growth accelerate since it exhibited at the National Franchise Exhibition at the NEC in October.

Managing Director Nigel Botterill comments: 'Interest in thebestof has been astonishing and our targets have already been smashed! We believe the business is now the fastest growing franchise ever in the UK. Since the launch, we have revised original estimates and expect that during 2006 we shall see sites developed for every major populated area in the UK.''

The 100th franchisee, Julie Wilson from Weymouth in Dorset, discovered thebestof's sister company MyMag while surfing the net looking for a business to run from home. She was attracted by the low start-up cost and after only a month, had added thebestof Weymouth to her original investment.

Julie explains: 'I hadn't any previous experience of running either a magazine or a website but I can honestly say that I am enjoying every moment of my new career. I get so much job satisfaction and pride from what I am doing. It is great doing something for the local community and gives me a great sense of belonging.'

Nigel concluded: 'The early success of is only the start. The growth will accelerate further in 2006 making it the number one company to watch, and to become part of.'' The company is planning to launch in the US in 2006.
