The British Franchise Exhibition, in Manchester Central, on June 8-9, will once again showcase the cream of franchise businesses across sectors such as property, home care, food and drink.

There are a number of free features including the Franchise Starting Point, where those who are new to franchising can gather all the information they need to make the most of their visit.

Exclusive to The British Franchise Exhibition will be Franchisee Recruitment Open Sessions held by McDonald’s. Visitors will be able to meet the McDonald’s team, find out about what goes on behind the scenes of one of the world’s biggest franchises and investigate whether becoming a McDonald’s franchise owner is right for them.

Visitors to Manchester will also find the popular Franchisee Panel, which provides a valuable insight into life as a franchise owner, giving an opportunity to hear from franchise owners about the transition period from being employee to a self-employed franchise owner.

The British Franchise Exhibition will be hosting an extensive free conference programme, which includes seminars by the bfa. During these sessions, a panel of experts will cover all aspects of franchising including how to find funding, where to go for legal advice and what a franchisor looks for in a franchise owner.

Find your perfect match

Those interested in owning a franchise will be able to meet representatives from some of the leading brands in person at a free new event, Franchise Opportunities Live.

Held at the Edwardian Radisson Hotel, Heathrow, on September 7-8, Franchise Opportunities Live is the ideal opportunity for those visitors who have already started researching a move into franchising to pre-book one-to-one meetings with selected franchises that meet their criteria.

Among the franchised businesses visitors will be able to meet are Auditel, Platinum Property Partners, Plug and Play, Driver Hire and Estates Direct, as well as many others representing such sectors as property, food and drink, finance, home care and travel.

Franchise Opportunities Live will also be presenting a range of seminars, hosted by the bfa, covering key franchising issues including what to consider when choosing a franchise, why and when to get legal advice, how to obtain funding and access financial help. These seminars will provide all the support and guidance visitors need to run a successful franchise business.

Adrian Goodsell, Franchise Exhibitions Manager at Venture Marketing Group, organiser of Franchise Opportunities Live and The British Franchise Exhibition, says: “Franchise Opportunities Live is a new and different way for prospective franchise owners to progress their research into franchise opportunities.

“For people who have investigated the franchising model, this is the perfect show. Visitors can refine their choices by meeting with key franchise businesses, receive advice and guidance, and network in relaxed surroundings. This is a targeted event which will be of real benefit for those who are seriously considering making the move into franchising.”
