Tominey is one of the young entrepreneurs speaking at the ‘Grow Your Own Business’ conference at the exhibition.

After an appearance on BBC’s hit TV show, Dragons’ Den, the young entrepreneur walked away with a £100,000 investment from Piers Linney. Since then, Mainstage Travel has grown to become one of the UK’s leading clubbing and festival holiday operators.

Tominey commented: “Even before we appeared on Dragons’ Den, we were doing really well. We came up with the concept in Ibiza, where we saw how expensive and time consuming organising a party holiday was. We saw a gap in the market for offering package clubbing holidays at a fraction of the price. After building up the brand, myself and business partner, Aden Levin, found further success on Dragons’ Den, which enabled us to focus on our goals and expand the company further.”

Launched in October 2011, Mainstage Travel has gone from strength to strength, now owning the hugely popular ski festival, Snowboxx.

Speaking at this year’s exhibition, Tominey wants to inspire other business owners: “The most rewarding aspect about owning your own business is having independence, work ethic and the ability to shape the company in the way you choose.”

Tominey’s keynote speech ‘The start-up toolkit – tech, investment and growth’ will take place in Birmingham on Saturday February 21.
