Village Butcher is keen to build on its success on the South coast by expanding its franchise across the UK.

The company, which has shops in Eastbourne and Brighton and another shop due to open in Tunbridge Wells this summer, is looking for franchise owners throughout the country to achieve its aim of opening 15 shops over the next three years. Village Butcher is specifically targeting London, Worthing, Chichester, Canterbury and Guildford.

At the heart of the business is its handmade pies and sausages, which are produced in the traditional way and use only the finest ingredients. The 30 types of sausages are made by butchers in their award winning butchers shop and 15 types of pies, including vegetarian and sweet pies, are made by hand in a long established bakery.

Franchise owner candidates do not need to have food or cooking experience to own a successful Village Butcher franchise, as the products are delivered fresh to shops and go straight on display. This allows franchise owners to concentrate on customer service.

According to the company franchise owners are offered full, comprehensive support. The franchise fee is £5,000 and the company states that the set-up costs are low, as little expensive equipment is needed and franchise owners can operate from a small compact shop.
