Franchisees will be expected to promote their own business through sales and marketing strategies and ensure they are equipped to look after a team of staff who install and maintain the air conditioning units.

4 Seasons Managing Director John Duggan says: 'When the company was established in 2003, there was a niche in the market for domestic and small commercial installations, which was previously being serviced by a man in a van or occasionally by bigger companies with very poor customer service.

'In a market that has grown dramatically in the last four years 4 Seasons has developed a very strong customer service strategy, which has focused on professional delivery at all levels from the survey and design phase, to installation and maintenance with manufacturer backed five year warranties.

'When 4 Seasons was developing the franchise offer, it was essential to get it right from the beginning, which is why the company contacted FDS Northern.

'FDS Northern's Director Tony Urwin is incredibly experienced in franchising and made sure 4 Seasons covered every aspect of the franchise process in detail and got it exactly right. It was a big investment both in terms of time and money but working with Tony has ensured the company has covered all the basics and I am confident the franchise network will flourish.'

FDS Northern worked alongside 4 Seasons to develop a comprehensive franchise package that included ongoing support and training.

Tony comments: 'The company initially developed a strong offer based on service and product knowledge which made it a good candidate for franchising. 4 Seasons has also invested in the process and created a unique franchise offer, which is transferable and easily teachable to the right, motivated individual, which is essential to successful franchising.'
