To celebrate its 10th anniversary Ableworld will be holding a series of events and promotions this summer.

Mike Williams, Ableworld founder and Managing Director, said: “We will be holding a special Anniversary Mobility Show in our home town of Nantwich in May; and in the early summer we will be pulling out all the stops with a major advertising promotion offering some excellent anniversary deals for our customers, which we hope will make visiting our stores irresistible to our customers.”

A mobility retailer, Ableworld already has 12 outlets operating in the UK and with its recently launched franchise opportunity the company is hoping to expand this further. Paul Boniface, Franchise Director, said: “We launched our franchising operating last year and are proud to be the only mobility retailer to be recognised by the British Franchise Association (bfa).

“Our goal of growing the business via franchised outlets is going according to plan and we expect to have reached our target of two to three franchises by the end of the year.”

In addition to growing its network through franchising, Ableworld continues to open more of its own stores with two new stores opening during the last financial year in Northwich and Llandudno, which are already making contributions to Ableworld’s finances.

To keep up with this growth and to prepare for future expansion, Ableworld has restructured its head office last year and took on more staff to support the needs of the firm, its franchise owners and customers.

For Williams one of the company’s highlights over the past 10 years has been the launch of its franchise opportunity. He said: “Obviously launching the Ableworld brand as a fully-fledged franchise and getting bfa membership last year was a highpoint. I’m also very pleased that we have employment, especially at the present time. But I suppose what gives me most pleasure is that we have created, what our customers tell us, is a trusted brand and to me that means we are doing what we set out to do, which is to sell quality products to the elderly and disabled at value-for-money prices.”
