Act Clean has sponsored the Acorn Awards for the first time in the award’s 26-year history.

A spokesperson for Act Clean said: “The Acorn Awards epitomise what is great about our industry and recognise the brilliant talent of today and the leaders of tomorrow. Playing an important part in nurturing, developing and recognising these stars is essential in keeping British hospitality at the top of its game. We all know that our people are our greatest asset and that reward and recognition is important.”

Among the awards presented were the top 30, under the age of 30, who were selected from a huge number of nominations from all parts of the UK. The winners were presented with their trophies by Mark Lewis, Group Editor of Caterer and Hotelkeeper, and John Stevenson, one of the founders and owners of Act Clean.

Stevenson said: “We were honoured to be part of the judging process of this year’s award and I can personally attest not only to the incredible standard and quality of each and every one of you, but also of those nominated who did not make it here today.

“You should be extremely proud of the recognition and I hope that you will make friends for the future as part of this exclusive club.”
