A new franchise agreement will see Anytime Fitness locations opening in Qatar. Anytime Fitness, a USA-based fitness club franchise, signed the agreement with Almuftah Group, a Qartar-based company.


Mark Daly, National Media Director at Anytime Fitness, said: “The Almuftah Group is very well established and is doing a lot of American-based franchising. The Almuftah Group is a private company whose other business ventures include consumer retail products, auto sales, manufacturing, and franchising of Burger King, Arby’s and other fast food restaurant chains.”

Anytime Fitness already has locations across the US, New Zealand, Australia, India and Japan. The company states that last year it opened 300 new franchise locations. Daly added: “We expect to continue to open new clubs at the rate of nearly one a day, with Europe being one of our primary focuses for international expansion in 2011.”
