As part of a rapid expansion plan, Aqueous has invested in a new 8,000sq ft facility which will provide easier access to motorway routes and added benefits to its franchising operation.
Established in 2004 by three experienced retail and catering professionals, Aqueous Wholesale franchises territories for the wholesale and distribution of mineral spring and flavoured bottled waters.
The company aims to make bottled water more accessible to the retailer and consumer and offers better choice and opportunities by carrying more than 250 varieties of bottled water in stock.
Since its official launch in January this year the company has established five franchises and a further 20 reserved or in discussion. Aqueous Wholesale chief executive Richard Nieto believes the company offers an innovative opportunity and a genuine new profit stream for the retail sector.
He said: 'Our business model is based on developing a critical mass of customers within a tight geographical area which takes advantage of the limited provisions that non specialist suppliers offer. This helps the franchisee keep distribution costs and travel time down to a minimum, maximising returns per customer.
'Our new location in Bromborough has good access to the motorway networks across the North West and means we are in an excellent position to service our current franchisees.'
Working in partnership with a number of major bottlers, Aqueous supplies a range of companies across the UK including blue chip plcs, Government bodies, specialist bars, restaurants, hotels, pubs, conference and banqueting establishments, offices and retail.
