Both Ken Parsons (Wolverhampton) and David Taylor (Telford & Shrewsbury) were interviewed for their views on credit card spending building up to Christmas and were included on a news item which was repeated throughout the day.

'The news story focussed on the fact that it takes most people over three months to repay what they borrowed to fund their Christmas festivities and that three out of four Britons spend the Christmas period worrying about their financial pressures,' comment Jenny Peters of Assist. 'Both Ken and David, who have both recently joined Assist, came across brilliantly and spoke with great authority.'

Because debt is constantly in the news, Assist will be using the services of a specialist media consultant to teach franchisees how to handle press and broadcaster questions whilst developing a trusting relationship so that they return for further comments in the future.

Assist Financial Solutions, a subsidiary of Accuma Group plc, has recruited 18 franchisees in the last six months and recently became the first debt advisory consultancy to be awarded Provisional membership of the British Franchise Association.
