Father and son team Trevor and Mark Davies have plenty of reasons to celebrate at the moment.

The joint franchise owners of Fastsigns Huddersfield - who now produce over 70 per cent of the town's commercial and retail signage - have recently been hailed as the best-performing Fastsigns team in the country. Sales topped £100,000 in December 2009 and the business has made a great start to 2010.

It's not just the business that's leading the field. Mark is an accomplished motor racing driver who won last year's Ginetta G20 British Championship and was rated fourth best in the country by Motorsport News.

He's now been promoted into the G50 Championship for 2010 - and with all races being broadcast on live TV, his skills are sure to be noticed by an even wider audience.

"There's no big secret to our success," said Trevor. "We just work very hard and demand the highest possible standards from ourselves and the team. The name Fastsigns is something we have to live up to. Customers expect top quality signs fast, and that's what they get!"

Fastsigns Huddersfield was set up in 2005 and specialises in signs and graphics. Located on the Hoyer Industrial Park in Leeds Road it employs seven people and has recently invested in the latest technology to keep at the forefront of the signage industry.

"This determination has obviously helped Mark with his racing too," continues Trevor. "There's only one position the Davies and Fastsigns want to be and that's first."
