US fast casual barbecue franchise Bar-B-Cutie has signed a Master Franchise agreement for Spain, which will see the restaurant chain developed in 20 locations. The Spanish Master is Bar-B-Cutie and Family & Friends, S.L., owned by Fran Baena and Daniel Baena, which plans to open its flagship location Valanecia shortly.

"After we researched many US food franchise companies, we knew Bar-B-Cutie was the company poised for us to grow here in Spain," says Fran Baena. "We love the people behind the company, as we have had outstanding support from day one. We have already found a 'grade A' location that we will be opening in several months."

Bar-Cutie has been established for over 56 years offering dine-in, take out, drive thru and catering. "We continue to grow the Bar-B-Cutie brand nationally and now internationally, which is exciting," adds Bar-B-Cutie COO Brett McFarland. "Our momentum is rapidly building in strength. We have been a successful business for 56 years. Very few food franchise concepts neither nationally or internationally have had that kind of time under their belt refining their operational systems."
