Family-run frozen food company COOK now has franchise opportunities available for territories across the UK.
COOK was launched in 1997 by business partners Edward Perry and Dale Penfold with the aim of challenging the perception of how good frozen food can be.
COOK provides a vast range of frozen meals including vegetarian meals, gluten free foods and its latest edition of meals For Special Nights In. All the meals available are made by hand at the COOK Kitchen in Kent and, as proof of its handmade nature, the name of the individual chef who cooked each dish is printed on the packaging. All the meals can be cooked straight from frozen and many are microwaveable.
The company has grown from its single shop in Farnham, Surrey to a national network of 42 branded stores and 250 concessions in farm shops and independent supermarkets – as a matter of principle COOK doesn’t sell to the big multiples.
COOK won eight Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine Foods in 2010 and last year the company achieved annual sales of £20 million.
