The company is also setting its sights on Britain's fast growing student market. The decision to target students is underpinned by the Government's aim to have half of 18-30 year olds enrolled in higher education by 2010. Plans are in place to train new franchisees with the specific objective of looking after property for landlords who want to rent to students - 20 key university towns and cities will be targeted in the drive.
Belvoir Chief Executive Mike Goddard says: 'We are very excited by these two major initiatives in our 10th anniversary year. We have enjoyed phenomenal growth in the last two years and have been looking to expand into other areas for some time. Scotland has been chosen to spearhead our growth because we believe it will be a dynamic and responsive market.'
