Founder of Belvior lettings agency Mike Goddard has made the decision to stand down as CEO in order to take on the role of Chairman. Taking his place as Managing Director will be Operations Director Dorian Gonsalves, where he will take over the day-to-day running of the business.

“I am delighted, proud and excited – all of these emotions rolled into one and I can’t express how pleased I am with our past achievements and what lies ahead for the future,” said Gonsalves.

“This year I reached my 61st birthday and feel that now is the right time for me to hand over the reins of the day-to-day running of Belvoir,” said Goddard, who founded the company with his wife Stephanie in 1995. “The shareholders, including Stephanie and my son Andrew have no current intention of selling the company but are investing to take Belvoir to the next level.”

Goddard feels confident that the company will continue to flourish under the direction of his son Andrew and Gonsalves. “They have driven the company for the last four years and have succeeded in doubling network turnover,” he said. “They have guided Belvoir through a period of unprecedented economic challenges and brought us to the position we are at today.”

Being Chairman of the British Franchise Association and serving on the Board of the Property Ombudsman, Goddard will continue to be heavily involved in the lettings and franchise industry.
