The marketing investment follows a successful period for Blazes with sales up by almost 20 per cent during 2006. Blazes cite the influence of home makeover programmes and homeowners' continuing desire to invest in their property as key reasons behind their sales success.

'Although winter is still a key period for us, fireplaces and modern central heating design are now a lifestyle statement which set the mood and style for the room so have become a year-round purchase driven by the latest room design trends,' said Blazes Managing Director Michael Eyre.

The advert, filmed in Blazes Bagshot showroom, will be aired on ITV2 in slots alongside the Omnibus editions of Coronation Street and Emmerdale. The ad features TV presenter Sue Coulter who's lovable personality looks sure to be a hit with families looking to give their home a stylish makeover in time for Christmas.

Michael Eyre explains: 'High quality marketing support is a critical factor in ensuring the success of our franchisees. Over the past four years we have invested over half a million pounds on TV ad campaigns to help boost showroom sales at our 30 plus outlets across the country.

'A sales-generating ad campaign is crucial to maximising our franchisee profits, especially in the run up to the Christmas period, and this kind of TV advertising demonstrates the fact that good franchisors like Blazes are capable of supporting franchisees with a powerful marketing resource.'

Blazes is one of the few showroom-based retail franchises available in the UK which makes it ideal for both male and female franchisees with retail experience and particularly couples who have a project management background and are business management minded. Blazes currently has a range of franchise opportunities currently available throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
