Care in the home franchise Bluebird Care has been awarded Full Member status by the British Franchise Association (bfa). The Petersfield-based franchisor has 66 offices across the UK and Republic of Ireland and reports annual growth of 105 per cent on the number of care visits it provides.

"We are delighted to be awarded full membership status in recognition of the achievements and standards we operate to as a franchise," said Franchise Director Simon Dalziel. "We have an extremely successful franchise network throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland, all operating to the high Bluebird Care standards.

"2009 saw Bluebird Care franchised businesses achieving annualised turnover of over £1 million and we are confidently expecting many more Bluebird Care franchise owners to join them in 2010."

Members of the bfa are vetted against a strict code of business practice and full members must have a proven trading and franchising record. "The British Franchise Association is pleased to welcome Bluebird Care into Full Membership," says the association's Head of Standards and Compliance Andrew Quail (pictured). "Our quality standards for reaching this level are set high, deliberately, and to reach this demanding level a franchisor company has to demonstrate to us that they are worthy of this level of membership."
