Bluebird Care has expanded its UK network to 55 offices and puts its success down to its emphasis on value for money, professionalism and providing a good service. The company, which is soon to celebrate five years of operating, has offices across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

As part of its emphasis on providing good customer service Bluebird Care tailors its care packages to mirror public demand; with the emphasis on a straightforward, professional approach and recognition of each customer's individual needs.

Paul Tarsey, Managing Director and joint Founder of Bluebird Care, said: "We view people as individuals - customers with choices, rather than patients. We place our emphasis on value for money, professionalism and good old-fashioned service.

"For a long time now, we have been championing high quality care and, most importantly, encouraging our staff to look at care as a career, and not just a job. Our long-term training and staff development packages have been hugely successful in making sure we have the right people to satisfy the needs of our customers."

Paul added that the principle of receiving professional care at home is far more cost-effective than selling up and moving into a residential home, which can cost up to £1,000 a week. Staying at home is also the favoured option for the vast majority of older or vulnerable people. He said: "We find that if it is possible, people would rather stay in their own homes and it is far more cost effective for them to do so - we often have families paying for their relative's care and they have to ensure they are getting the best deal on cost, without compromising on quality of service. For many people, things are very tight and they need to have an affordable service, which delivers good value for money."
