As Spanish-born Conrada Rodriguez recently celebrated her 101st birthday with a tea party at her home in Petersfield, she burst into song with her care workers from Bluebird Care, who presented her with a bouquet to mark her very special day.

When Conrada was born in 1909, explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton had just discovered the magnetic South Pole, Louis Bleriot became the first man to fly across the English Channel, Edward VII opened the Victoria and Albert Museum, and Woolworths opened its first shop.

Birthday girl Conrada receives daily professional care support from Bluebird Care workers Sandy Howell and Rebecca Meredith, enabling her to enjoy the best possible quality of life while staying in the comfort of her own home."Conrada has a great attitude and really enjoys life to the full," said Sandy. "Which isn't bad at 101!"

With a current UK network of 55 offices, Bluebird Care is the fastest-growing provider of care at home in Britain. The company specialises in working with people requiring health care and their families, alongside Social Services, GPs and Primary Care Trusts - and offers live-in support for people wanting or needing a greater level of care provision.
