Bright Care has launched its home care franchise opportunity as demand for its services has been increasing.

The company was founded in 2009 by Tim and Louise Cocking and has been providing a straight forward alternative or top-up to local authority provided care services in the Edinburgh area.

Mr Cocking said: “Since starting the business, many families ask us if we provide services to older people out of the city. Unfortunately we have not really been able to help these families, although we really want to be able to help.”

To meet demand, the couple have decided to franchise their concept as they feel this will enable them to expand the business without compromising on quality and attention to their clients in Edinburgh.

Franchise owners will benefit from the successful business model, best practice and know how, and support in getting them established, so they can hit the ground running.

Mr Cocking added: “The biggest hurdle in doing this is finding the right person to come on board with us to get the first franchised office set up. This person is going to be taking a bit of a punt on us and putting some of their own money at stake too! However, I believe it could be a fantastic opportunity and will prove very rewarding for the right person.

“With an aging population, with people living longer than ever before and with seniors determined to stay living in their own homes, in-home care is a growing marketplace. It is currently valued over £20 billion a year in the UK. With increasing demand for home-based care services, there is a fantastic opportunity to grow a business in a sector, which can be both emotionally and financially rewarding.”
