The UK-wide franchises are teaming up in hopes to raise £19,000, enough money to fund a Marie Curie Nurse for an entire year. The next 12 months will hold tea parties, baking challenges and a lot of walking, as members of Auntie Anne’s head office join Marie Curie’s Walk 10 events.

Additional fundraising activities will be taking place in Auntie Anne’s stores across the UK. All funds raised will allow Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes and in Marie Curie’s nine hospices. Last year alone, Marie Curie Nurses provided care for more than 39,000 terminally ill patients across the UK and emotional support for their families.

Robert Burton, Managing Director for Auntie Anne’s, said: “On behalf of our network, I am very pleased to announce our new partnership with Marie Curie.

We are very much looking forward to raising money for such a worthwhile cause. Every one of us is touched in some small way by Marie Curie and we are really excited to contribute to the work that they do. We are especially encouraged that, if we reach our target of £19,000, we will be funding a nurse for an entire year.”
