Café Jubilee is set to open its second international location during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, which takes place between the 1st May and the 31st October.

The Malta-based company already has an outlet in Budapest and is set to launch its Shanghai location within the Malta Pavilion at the Expo. The new location's menu and drinks lists have been modelled on those offered at its existing outlets but slightly modified to cater for the Shanghai Expo environment.

Chief Executive Officer for Jubilee Group Alex Scicluna said: "We are honoured to have a Café Jubilee presence in the Malta Pavilion at the World Expo, which is one of the most prestigious global trade events. Our brief is to promote traditional Maltese products and we will also be enhancing the visitor experience to the Malta stand by offering a full Café Jubilee menu, including all those favourite dishes which are part of Maltese cuisine and which are so popular at our other outlets."

Café Jubilee Director Anthony Scicluna, who will be travelling to Shanghai to oversee the setting up and running of the outlet, added: "We are setting up a replica of the other Café Jubilee outlets, including all the trademark fixtures, fittings, cutlery and crockery. This is a massive operation in itself. We have already sent a 40 foot container packed with equipment and décor items to Shanghai and our assembly team will be travelling there shortly in order to commence the set-up.

"This venture will aid our efforts to raise awareness about the Café Jubilee brand in the Far East. It has always been a strong ambition of ours to venture into franchising and we hope that this event will bring us a step closer to fulfilling this ambition."
