California Pizza Kitchen is set to expand its presence in the Middle East. The USA-based pizza restaurant chain has expanded its original agreement with its Middle East Master Franchise Owner Gourmet Gulf Company, which will see 19 restaurants open across the Middle East. In the original Master Franchise agreement, Gourmet Gulf Company was to open a minimum of three locations over a two year period. The new restaurants are due to open in United Arab Emirates, State of Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Co-founders and CEOs of California Pizza Kitchen Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax said: "We are pleased with the work Gourmet Gulf Company has done to bring our innovative brand to the UAE. We look forward to further expansion throughout the Middle East under this new agreement."
