Within a year of taking over his first Card Connection franchise, Ratna Sivaganesh has expanded his business by purchasing another franchise territory.

Sivaganesh took on his Aylesbury and Amersham Card Connection franchise earlier this year and has recently bought the Luton and St Albans territory. This has effectively doubled the size of Sivaganesh franchise, which he runs with his wife, and he now supplies Card Connection’s range of greeting cards and gifts to over 300 retailers in the region.

Sivaganesh said: “When I first bought the franchise, it was always my intention to buy an additional territory. The new area is highly populated with a mix of urban and more rural retail outlets and offers many potential opportunities for future expansion. I will spend time consolidating the region over the next six months then aim to grow the franchise to supply a total of 400 stores within 18 months.”

An ex Spar supermarket Manager, Sivaganesh has employed a new full-time merchandiser to manage Luton and St Albans, taking his team up to four. He aims to grow the team with a further merchandiser in the future as the franchise expands.
