Card Connection has recruited its latest franchise owner for the Kingston-Upon-Hull territory. As a Card Connection franchise owner Graham Longbone, who is a former Deputy Managing Director, will now be responsible for supplying Card Connection's range of more than 1,200 greeting cards to retail outlets across his territory.

Card Connection's Sales Director, Andrew Cutler, said: "In Graham's previous role he managed a team of around 200 people in a corporate environment. These management skills honed over the years, will prove invaluable when working with retail customers and puts Graham in a good position to build regional relationships with Card Connection's national accounts which include the likes of Costcutter, Londis, Netto, Budgens, Spar and Haldanes."

Longbone added: "At the end of a 10 year contract with my previous employer, I was looking for a new opportunity that offered a similar degree of autonomy and yet also created the chance to develop and build a business of my own. After thorough research I found Card Connection offered an established business opportunity, a quality product, the flexibility of self employment all combined with an excellent support package.

"Card Connection has an unparalleled reputation within the industry and is a long standing member of the bfa. In addition, the Kingston-Upon-Hull territory that was available had been established since 1992 and had a solid sales history.

"Joining Card Connection will involve a steep learning curve but my strategy is to build relationships with existing customers rapidly and to open new retail accounts. Longer term, I will aim to build a small team to expand the business further. It is a truly exiting prospect."
