The fifth Annual Conference held by home care franchise, Caremark, focused on making a difference through the provision of the highest standard of care.

Caremark reports that despite the difficult economic climate it has achieved 30 per cent growth in its business with new franchise offices being opened throughout the UK.

Some 60 delegates attended the Conference, which was held at the Hellidon Lakes Hotel in Northamptonshire. The event featured a day of workshops and presentations that centered around business strategies, as well as, focusing on care and the delivery of the service. Through moving testimonials and a short film, delegates were invited to reflect on the impact their service had on the lives of their customers and their families and the difference they make through delivering a professional, top quality and compassionate care and support service.

As well as this, the Conference featured a gala dinner and awards ceremony in which top performing Caremark franchise owners were recognised.

Talking at the Conference, Craig Henthorn, Managing Director of Caremark, said: “I think it's been a big success in terms of recognising lots of franchise owners’ achievements. The awards ceremony was well received and we’ve celebrated many successes today; the atmosphere has been fantastic. It’s been great to see so many people here today who have come through the Caremark franchise system; everyone has really enjoyed themselves and we are all looking forward to another exciting year ahead.”

Patrick Thompson, Franchise Manager, added: “It's a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with our franchise owners and to involve them in our plans and projects for the coming year.”

Many delegates left the Conference feeling enthusiastic and excited about their business future. New franchise owners Helen Graham and Stephanie Doherty, who own Caremark (Oldham), said: “It's been great! We’ve really enjoyed it. It’s also been very helpful from a networking point of view because we are still a small business; it was great talking to people who were at the stage we are now. We also found the day very helpful in terms of some of the tools we have got from the Conference workshops.”
