Franchise owner Farina Tayub has been presented with The Care Employer Award as part of the Great North Care Awards 2009. Farina, who owns the Caremark Leeds franchise, picked up her trophy at a ceremony and dinner at the National Railway Museum in York in November, which was presented by comedian Hardeep Singh Kohli.

"Throughout Caremark (Leeds) I practice values mirroring those of a family in order to create a team culture," said Farina. "This means working together, so that if there is a problem then it is a team problem. I consistently remind my staff that it takes the best in each of us to bring out the best in all of us and that is what this award represents, the best in all of us at Caremark nationally."

The Care Employer Award acknowledges and celebrates the employer's commitment to delivering a quality care service. The award will qualify Farina for a nomination in the National Care Awards, which will take place in London in 2010.

Caremark has a network of over 50 franchised offices across the UK and Ireland, which specialise in providing care and companionship services to people in need living in their own homes. With the network recording month-on-month growth of 27.5 per cent over the last three years the company is seeking high caliber individuals to assist it in increasing its national reach.
