Previously Franchise Director with Venture Photography and more recently National Franchise Director with Martin and Co, the property lettings and management company, Jonathan Cullen, makes the move to Cartridge World with the aim of driving the franchise business forward and increasing franchisee recruitment in the UK.

As well as maintaining Cartridge World's position as the market leader for printer cartridge refilling, Jonathan will be working closely with the Franchise Support team in Harrogate to launch new stores across the UK. In addition, Jonathan will be working to maintain Cartridge World's high standard of service in it's existing network of 280 plus stores.

Jonathan will work directly with franchisees to develop their businesses, using business planning and marketing and PR as tools to aid more growth and profitability for existing franchisees. Jonathan will also encourage franchisees to acquire additional stores in their areas so becoming multi-unit operators.

Speaking on his new appointment, Jonathan said: 'Having spent 15 years in the franchising industry, I am now looking forward to applying the skills and knowledge I have acquired in my previous roles, as I embark on my new position at Cartridge World.

'It is an exciting time to join the business, especially with the recent acquisition by Cartridge World North America of the UK and France Master Franchises. The new direction and input from America will really help to propel the Cartridge World brand further into Europe and I hope that this will also aid the opening of the 60 new franchises planned for this coming year.'

As well as Jonathan's new appointment, Duncan Berry, makes the move from General Manager to Director of European Franchising, also resulting from the acquisition.

Duncan, 33, joined Cartridge World in 2002 as Sales and Marketing Manager when there were just 35 stores in England and Wales. He has been responsible for the continued development of the franchise, which has subsequently grown to include the UK, and now sees the group stand at over 280 stores.

Duncan comments: 'The franchise has already seen massive success since it was launched in this country five years ago. With the acquisition and the addition of key senior team members such as Jon, I am looking forward to greater success for the franchise and further consolidation of our market-leading position.'
