Pre-owned goods retail franchise Cash Converters has opened its 150th store in the UK. The store was opened by Cash Converters' latest franchise owner Brian Stephenson and his partner Sue Hodgkinson. Aiming to build on its network of 150 stores, Cash Converters is planning to open a minimum of 20 new stores in the UK by the end of this year.

Chief Executive of Cash Converters, David Patrick, said: "This is a great achievement and our continued store growth reflects the popularity of the range of services, from financial services, pawnbroking and laybys, to buybacks that Cash Converters is able to provide.

"As traditional forms of borrowing are becoming less widely available, people from all walks of life are realising the benefits of the various services offered by Cash Converters to meet short term financial requirements."

Speaking about the opening of the 150th Cash Converters store, Business Development Manager for the North, Nathan Sermon, said: "I'm positive that this new store will be a resounding success.
