Cash Converters has handed over £25,000 to national children's charity Dreams Come True. The franchise, which sells pre-owned goods, donated the money as part of its commitment to fulfilling the dreams of terminally and seriously ill children. The company has raised over £60,000 for the charity since 2007 and has helped make 15 dreams come true so far.

The latest funds follow the company's dedicated online charity auction, complete with celebrity donated memorabilia, and a charity ball held in London in November.

Chief Executive of Cash Converters, Mark Lemmon says: 'The whole company has thoroughly enjoyed raising this money for Dreams Come True. Both staff and our franchisees have got behind the initiatives to make a difference at a time when charities, like all of us, are finding it more and more difficult to raise funds.

'2009 will be an equally charitable year for Cash Converters. We have a number of activities already planned and individuals within the company are also organising their own fundraising efforts to help fulfil many more dreams.'

Peter Newman, Chief Executive at Dreams Come True, comments: 'Cash Converters have really pulled out all the stops to raise much needed funds for the charity. Everyone has put in a lot of time and effort and we are really grateful for their support. I'm sure this year will be just as successful and we are looking forward to working with them throughout 2009.'
